Given well-documented ongoing problems resolving existing issues with the Route 4 changes it seems ridiculous that proposals are underway to further increase the traffic. One of the responses from Gatwick regarding the Route 4 issue is that it is not possible to reset traffic to its previous routes because the skies are busier than they were. How does adding more traffic help this? I am sure other people will make environmental and climate based objections so I won't voice them myself here beyond again saying that this expansion seems to fly in the face of common sense. Gatwick expansion plans have been rejected time and time again. However you look at it, this application is attempting to bulldoze through a project that will be either an expensive white elephant or a significant contributor to problems which are already proving hard to solve.
