I wish to object to the planned expansion at Gatwick Airport for the following reasons: Charlwood cannot take more traffic. These are country roads and are in a terrible state. They were not built to accommodate the amount of traffic currently using them. At the moment the airport is busy cancelling flights due to various problems, which seem to keep occurring. How are they going to cope with up to double the traffic? The environmental impact of more flights, more traffic, more noise will make Charlwood an extremely unpleasant place to live. I think that the impact of expansion at Gatwick could prove disastrous to the village of Charlwood, and to our medieval houses and Norman Church because of all the things that I have already mentioned.
