Main issues: - increased noise and air pollution, impacting people and animals who live nearby and making it difficult to have a good night's sleep or enjoy relaxing in a quiet garden - increased traffic to the area, making the roads busier and increasing noise and air pollution - increase in number of nuisance holiday parkers who dump their cars in or near residential roads, blocking access and causing traffic jams - loss of habitat to wildlife to accommodate changes to roads, construction of additional hotels, parking etc. - additional construction on a flood plain will impact residents who already suffer from flooding in heavy rain - strain on local facilities which are already stretched - increase in passengers on trains that are often already packed at peak times
