Additional noise levels, at present we cannot have the doors or windows open due to noise levels blocking out listening to tv or radio, this was not the case when we moved here 40 years ago when the aircraft were even noisier but less frequent and therefore bearable. Additional traffic volumes through lingfield the existing road stuctures are insufficent at present let alone with additional volumes of passengers and staff We are trying to reduce pollution levels throughout society this will only exacerbate the problem which central govenment are trying to reduce, you can see fuel deposit indications on local ponds/lakes in the flight paths which need further investigation by the environment agency to determine the causes. Flights from gatwick are at present seem poorely organised with multiple cancellations in recent times i am sure that with better management that there would be no requirement to add an additional runway or the need for additional flights which could be accomodated within the uk airport network at present. Tandridge council/surrey cc need to be in on this consultation as they will have to put up additional monies to provide services to and from the airport ie road infrastructure. Although i am not at all against airflight having lived under the flight path fot 40 Years + the growth in my opinion is unsubstainable for the environment in the short term let alone the long term and we must look at the future financial returns which if these developments proceed will not exist, we need to act now to secure the future both economically and environmentally of gatwick airport
