The plans will have a negative impact on air quality in my area as well as the sleep patterns of my family. We are already kept awake by aircraft noise late into the night only to be woken up again before 6am, and the plans for a new runway will only worsen this impact. In the face of the Environment Act (2021), the existing NOx pollution zone around Gatwick Airport, and an unfolding severe global environmental disaster, the UK government should be preventing airport expansion and reducing aircraft flights, not permitting more.
