Expansion of the airport will increase noise substantially for communities surrounding the airport and further afield. Gatwick has not done enough to mitigate noise impacts in recent years and the Noise Management Board has been ineffective. Continual lobbying for a ban on night flights has been ignored. There will be climate change and air pollution impacts from airport expansion that are not being considered. In general the South East is over crowded and congested and the airport is not in a good location for expansion.
