Very clear so far. Dear sir/madam, I object to the extra runway on noise grounds, and common sense grounds 1. The economic case is weaker for Gatwick than a third runway at Heathrow. 2 We are supposed to be reducing emissions and this plan flies in the face of that. 3.A new runway would attract passengers from North of London and beyond, more cars on M25! 4 With massive increases in new houses planned (10,000) plus local roads are at breaking point now! 5. LGW is only 674 hectares as opposed to Charles de gaulle at 3,200 hectares! The site is crammed NOW! 6 Their is little or no unemployment in this area so new workers would add to a crowded area bursting at the seams 7 We still endure night flights, unlike Heathrow! this additional runway will add to that. It seems to me that Gatwick have avoided some checks and balances as they have altered an existing useful runway rather than create a new one. As a neighbour they cannot be trusted. Yours sincerely R Butler
