The main issues and concerns about this proposed project is that there will be a huge impact on the number of aircraft flying over us causing even more noise pollution which is already at an extreme level throughout the day and night. The increase in the CO2 emissions will be catastrophic and we are already at crisis point with climate change and we should all, urgently, be trying to resolve this and not increase the terrible damage that we are inflicting on our planet. There will be a 70% rise in passenger numbers which will mean more cars on our roads and even more pollution and noise. Increasing aircraft and passenger numbers will need more infrastructure being built on the countryside doing irreversible damage. The south east is already very well served by airports - Gatwick, Heathrow and Stanstead are all within easy reach and I can see no need for any more flights. Properties in the area will be devalued and lives will be blighted.
