I strongly object to any expansion of Gatwick airport, air travel is a major contributor to climate change, and, as a local resident I already experience severe, noise, light and air pollution as a result of activities of and associated with the airport. We should be reducing or at the very least kept to current levels, certainly not expanding capacity. Local biodiversity has significantly suffered due to loss of habitat and increased human acitvity due to ongoing increase in traffic, and expansion of housing and business in the area over the past 30 years. Any further expansion will only cause further distruction of habitat, disturbance to wildlife and nature and create a less appealing environment to live. Traffic and aircraft noise is already a considerable disturbance to me and impacts my quality of life.
