The aircraft noise over Lingfield is already excessive, and regularly fails to comply with the authorised limitations for times, heights, noise levels and routes. I see no reason to believe that airport expansion will not make matters very much worse. In addition, when we should all be seriously considering how to reduce emissions and taking personal responsibility for countering global warming, I don’t think airport expansion with a view to increasing flights is a responsible course of action.
