I object to the construction of another runway at Gatwick airport for the following reasons. - It doesn't make sense from an environmental point of view to add to the pollution from flights, the air pollution and the noise pollution. - Another runway means thousands of flights added to Gatwick activity, which means hundreds more unskilled jobs, people who won't be able to afford living near the airport, so thousands more car journeys adding to the already very busy roads around Gatwick, as Gatwick Airport is not going to provide buses or pay for train fares, or help housing for their employees. - My main worry is the environmental repercussions of such a project. We are already living with the consequences of climate change, and it's only a beginning, thus, it doesn't make sense to make things worse. We need fewer planes in the sky, not more. We need to reduce air traffic not increase it.
