the expansion of Gatwick would: 1 encourage and enable more flights, hence more air pollution by greenhouse gases in the sky 2 this would contribute to the climate change that is causing disasters all over the world 3 traffic on the roads leading to and from Gatwick would increase, hence more air pollution, with adverse health effects on the population, especially between London and Gatwick including Coulsdon and A23 wherevi live 4. similarly, the trains between London and Gatwick would be overcrowded with extra passengers and their luggage. Already, trains through my local station , Coulsdon, to and from Gatwick are at times full of large luggage occupying most of the space with no room for local passengers. 5 congestion around Gatwick, with long queues to get on and off the M23, would increase.
