I think a second runway at Gatwick is not viable due to the area surrounding it. The roads are very congested now and with the additional flights proposed per year of more than 100,000 the resulting extra passengers and cars even when the works would have completed will be considerably detrimental to the environment for many miles around. The extra workers to service these flights will need to live and move around the area. There are not enough schools, hospitals, affordable housing, doctors surgeries and water shortages in the whole of West Sussex not being addressed for the population that is currently living here. The sewage problems are also of great concern which do not seem to be able to be rectified within any reasonable timescale. The surrounding farmland is under threat constantly from building when we need to be able to grow our own food when imports are under threat from being cut off due to hostilities in other countries. The added flight path noise will inevitably be detrimental to the mental wellbeing of every resident. The very last place to be forcing this extra pressure to everyone currently living in the county is Gatwick. I sincerely hope that all the above reasons to reject this proposal are given consideration. Thank you.
