Additional flights will impact UK’s capacity to reach carbon neutral targets. Additional flights will increase pressure on surrounding road infrastructure which is already struggling with current volume and are unlikely to add significantly to the local economy. Additional flights will be 24 hours a day significantly adding to the current levels of noise and fuel pollution both in terms of low flying planes over Lingfield and the additional road traffic it would generate. This noise becomes particularly disturbing during the summer months as environmental temperatures necessitate windows to be opened for ventilation creating problems with sleeping.
