Long term alteration of the earth’s climate and the rapid changes we are seeing now are from human activities, consumption of natural resources and burning of fossil fuels. Planes burn fossil fuels. Human activity has caused a huge spike in global temperatures. This is primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. Emissions from Fossil Fuels are the largest contributing factor to climate change We now know that we are baked in to 1.5C looking at 2 degrees or more or warming. Way past the safe limit agreed at the Paris agreement. Climate change increases the rate and intensity of natural disasters. 1.2 Billion displaced people by 2050 . Famine and death from crop losses and lack of water, heat deaths and war from resulting societal breakdown and climate collapse. Building a second runway is signing our death warrants. Youre worried about holidays when fossil fuels will kill our future ? Lets fly and watch the world burn and die. There you go kids sorry about the starvation, war and death but I really needed a holiday in Barbados. I have huge concerns about the carbon emission and air and noise pollution the large increase in flights will cause. This is an insane project in a climate emergency when human and every living things existence is in jeopardy because of emissions. Flying driving deforestation all must stop if we want to live. Climate collapse will render every living thing extinct.
