We HAVE TO KEEP FOSSIL FUEL IN THE GROUND. So unless these aircraft, airport buildings and airport vehicles are being powered by with clean energy or running on air or CO2, we can not expand Gatwick Airport. This year's severe weather events all around the World has shown that scientists are right, we are experiencing an escalating climate breakdown. The year has not even ended and it has been confirmed as the hottest year in human history. As Greta says "if our house was on fire we would act immediately", surely it is more important to act fast if it is our planet burning up and stop burning fossil fuel.
