I am concerned by the lack of apparent consideration given to the wider area surrounding the airport; more frequent flights and the fact the management will not rule out night flights cannot fail to lead to increased noise disturbance and pollution. Infrastructure is neglected as well; sewage (which is already a problem) is not addressed, as are the increased demands on clean water and electricity. I see no indication of improvement to the already chronic problem of affordable easily-available parking for travellers, although increasing these numbers is the object. There is little attempt to reconcile the increased flights and the resulting increase of CO2 emissions with the fact management and everyone else are supposed to be lessening this. Do Gatwick Airport Management really regard their profits are more important than the state of the planet?
