I wish to object to the proposed project for the following main reasons:1/ This is a huge infrastructure project involving not just on site at the airport but all the surrounding areas and will impact dramatically on our lives. 2/ Surely whichever party is in power must see the large increase in carbon emissions and air pollution is contrary to its net zero target. 3/ I don't believe there is a case for expansion as business travel since the pandemic has flatlined- the use of Zoom and Teams providing opportunities for communication rather than wasting time and money on flights, and there is already talk of limiting the number of leisure flights we can take in the future as the need for all of us to help with the effects of climate change becomes ever stronger.
