The plans for expansion of Gatwick Airport has not considered the impacts on the wider region. I live near Crowborough that is over 25 miles (as the plane flies) from Gatwick. Crowborough is 800 feet above sea level so the plane noise and air pollution in this area are the same as that in an area much closer to the Airport: however the consultation process has not included our area. Air Traffic across the South East Area is already challenging as has been proven recently. The associated noise and small particle air pollution cause health problems and any further expansion will only exacerbate the problems and make our lives in this area more stressful.
