We are all aware of the existential crisis our world is facing. Having upset the carbon balance in the atmosphere as a result of burning fossil fuels, any project which will increase aviation emissions, which are already horribly high, seems to be extremely unwise. We should be trying to reduce flights. There is of course a noise issue too.
