I wish to object to the expansion of Gatwick Airport on the following grounds: the increase in noise and air pollution, the increase in traffic flow, the cost of the project and the loss of yet more land in the area and, above all, the large increase in air traffic at a time when our survival on this planet cannot continue unless we IMMEDIATELY address the need to stop using fossil fuels.
