I have already seen the escalation of air traffic over my property in the last 2 years, 2023 has been the worst. I understand from local communication that Gatwick are already using the Northern runway but in a restricted capacity. If that is the case then once the Northern runway is at full capacity I believe there will be a significant change to overall quality of life in the Bough Beech area. I have a number of concerns. - Noise pollution. We have no ambient noise in this location so all we can hear are planes. Currently we have air traffic at least every 3 minutes. This is across a number of flight paths to both the North and South of my property. - Air pollution. I have (redacted) so I have the obvious health concerns relation to additional pollution. I also know there are a number of studies available as to the impact of air traffic an various cancers, of which (redacted) is one. - House Prices. We bought this property 10 years ago and built a new house on the plot. At the time of buying there was limited air traffic. This has significantly increased post Covid and I know with rental properties next to my house the rental agents mention the plane noise. I know there are no provisions made for lost of value to property this far from Gatwick, so the impact to will be substantial.
