My house lies directly under one of the flight paths for aircraft landing at Gatwick . Having lived in the house for thirty years we have noticed increases in noise and frequency of aircraft - there used to be a cut off period overnight but now we are subjected to aircraft noise at night - if expansion is allowed at Gatwick, it will make the aircraft noise intolerable and will inevitably affect the value of my property - I also feel very strongly indeed that to have any chance of achieving our statutory Net Zero goals we need to curb air flight, rather than encourage its expansion. Since moving to Penshurst 30 years ago the noise from aircraft has increased Considerably Our local MP Tom Tugendhat is against expansion as are many others in the Area I think we should be encouraging people to fly less so we can lighten our carbon emissions not expand. In the last 30 years the noise from aircraft has increased significantly. It alters the quality of life for us & everyone in the surrounding area. It will significantly reduce the value of our house & other people in the area.
