We live in an area of outstanding beauty, on the edge of Ashdown Forest. In a 13th Centuary Village. We have to put up with with planes flying directly overhead, some times at peak periods all night. The noise levels of fairly low flying planes, keeps us awake at night. This didn't happen often until we left the EU and it seems all protection for the local environment has ceased. There is not enough infrastructure to support a new runway with more staff. There is mega house building taking place in our nearest town .from Crawley to the boundaries of East Grinstead. With no thought for extra schools, hospitals, GP practices, or practical road systems, to support the extra traffic needed to supply an extra runway with workers, equipment ,lorries ,and passengers. The impact on our health is already affected . My husband with (redacted). Me and my children suffer (redacted). The environment with climate change, is already at severe risk and a new runway will have a Catastrophic effect on wild life and surrounding countryside including pollution of local reservoirs, and rivers . We need much smaller regional airports in areas of low population. Gatwick is already a very large airport. The surrounding road structures already carry huge lorries crossing from the channel tunnel through East Sussex and Lewes to Gatwick. Destroying the populations health with significant pollution and undermining our children 's and Grandchildrens future. Health. Who does this benefit ? And why on earth do we need it ? Look at HS2 a Huge White Elephant ,no one wanted . The Government cannot and should not keep destroying people's lives and they have a responsibility to protect the environment . A resounding no to a new runway. We don't need extra jobs in the South, and we are already a densely populated area .No No No.
