The majority of aircraft landing at Gatwick seem to route over Groombridge at less than 5000 ft. Flights continue through out the night especially in summer and the noise is so loud to prevent conversation out side and wake one from sleep at night in the small hours. An additional runway can only increase this already growing noise and fallout pollution. We accept that air travel is essential but should be restricted after 23:00 and before 06:00. Further more flight paths could be varied to avoid the constant noise back ground. We have got to the point where aircraft noise is the prevalent sound.
