I fully support the project to expand Gatwick. For a long time, there has been a need to expand in order to accommodate the increase in air travel. Heathrow has expanded at an enormous rate and to huge success - terminal 5 bringing in huge amounts of revenue not just for companies, but the local economy. A similar project at Gatwick will see huge benefits to the local economy with increased jobs, passenger numbers etc meaning more spending money in the local area helping to fund our services. While I understand the counter arguments regarding increase in noise pollution, they fail to take into account the reduction in other issues such as travel to other airports, pollution and costs associated with that, congestion etc. By expanding, we can take pressure off these areas and help tourism and travellers alike.
