I wish to object due to the volume of flights that would fly over Hever Castle which s a Grade 1 listed heritage attraction set within a Grade 1 listed park and garden which, in itself, is within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (a designation that is only awarded to the very best British landscape). The High Weald AONB recently published its Management Plan: Public Consultation - High Weald where they state – “One of the best surviving medieval landscapes in northwest Europe, the High Weald has remained a unique and recognisable area for at least the last 700 years”. Expansion at Gatwick will mean a wider swathe of this protected countryside is blighted by aircraft and more effort should be made at reducing the impact of the airport on so much protected landscape. Expansion at Gatwick will add a great deal of pressure on all our local and regional services and will also add a significant amount of pollution. There isn't adequate housing for the jobs that this will create and therefore more houses will need to be but but where?
