We recognise that the airport plays a major role in the economic development of the region. We are primarily concerned with making sure travellers and airport staff travel to the airport mainly by train and active travel methods. We have several community rail lines that include Gatwick Airport. We adhere to the DfT Community Rail Strategy to support volunteers to enhance the station environment through sustainable planting, art and information displays. We provide a forum for diverse stakeholders to work together to improve integrated and sustainable transport networks and support local businesses.
