My objections are as follows: a) Increased noise pollution due to 1) the frequency of flights over Broad Oak, since we are already on the landing flight path to Gatwick, and another runway would make this even worse. 2) at busy times we are directly underneath one of the two main stacking areas and the constant noise of more aircraft would make it even more unbearable. Why can't they be stacked over the sea which is only a few miles away and would disturb no one? If the plan were to go ahead, and I am sure my objections will make no difference, you would share the flight path more equitably over a much wider area and spread the pain. b) increase in air pollution c) control speed of incoming aircraft to enter the widened flight path so they can approach the runway without having to circle over houses
