I object to the change of use to convert the North Runway for regular use and therefore have Gatwick run two runways. My objection is based on the fact that the current configuration of one runway is adequate. The knock on impact to local infrastructure would be detrimental to the local communities. Specifically the knock in impact to the infrastructure of trains/roads/housing/schools/doctors. All the additional flights have a direct impact on all of these and they’re all currently stretched. In addition the noise envelope would significantly hit local villages. So while there are breaks at the moment the noise would be significantly higher and would be constant with no relief.
