One of the access roads to and from Gatwick Airport will be the Balcombe Road. It is already heavily used by motorists and I cannot see how this road will cope with extra airport traffic. The local air is so polluted that trees and plants show black leaves and outside surfaces show a fine layer of black dust. This is also inhaled by everyone who walks, cycles, gardens or does activity outside. The noise levels will undoubtedly increase, in spite of the promise of quieter aeroplanes. Although I do not live under the flightpath, I get disturbed by low flying planes who are apparently use a diverted course.
