Gatwick has not been a good neighbour as can be seen by the recent judicial review, it's very poor and cynical in collecting data to support its business. My objections are as follows: 1) Gatwick has very limited road access points the railway is extremely busy and unsuitable for large luggage carrying passengers. 2) Its expansion would mean that workers would have to travel by road as many do not live in the surrounding areas. 3) its a holiday airport, and expansion surely goes against climate goals as set by the current government 4) noise pollution for the surrounding are are high and unacceptable today, expansion would only make this worse. 5) If the UK needs more capacity, is the South East the right place for it? With Heathrow already in the approval process surely additional capacity should be placed in other areas of the country where commerce and jobs i.e. "levelling up" are badly needed.
