My biggest concern is global warming, we should be reducing the use of airplanes and encouraging business travelers to connect remotely and the days of cheap flights costing less than the parking are surely over. Building a more polluting vehicle infrastructure, just encourages more consumption, we just cant carry on like this. If polluting cars are being heavily taxed and phased out, why not penalize airplanes in the same way. It is not fair for the people who live under the flight paths subjected to both pollution and noise, I was under the impression that there were no night flights but even this seems to have been changed since COVID. Also why cant other regional airports spread the load, how many people that fly from Gatwick actually live near Gatwick?
