There is no good reason to increase the runways & Gatwick’s flying capacity. There is every good reason to reduce aviation. With our climate warming to boiling as it has done this year, & with the deaths & floods only just beginning, it is morally unconscionable to expand. Our planet must scale back on high energy activities. The Truth is painful for the aviation industry but this industry must listen to the science. This industry must not kill the rest of us for the sake of its own profit. Even if we don’t consider the climate problem as we should, the amount of overhead activity, aviation noise & other pollution is already ruining the lives of people living in Sussex. We live on a flight path 20 plus miles away & we are woken in the night by planes drilling through the night skies. We deserve & will continue to fight for our rights to a peaceful environment.
