The second runway must not go ahead. The additional noise and pollution to local communities is unreasonable. Most impoartantly, there has to come a point where short and medium term commercial interests do not take precedent over the long term survival of our planet. Humans do not 'need' more air travel, they just 'want' more air travel. However, we do 'need' to reverse climate change. Allowing the second runway to go ahead is plainly irrational in this context.
