Dear Sir, I would like to state my objections to the expansion of Gatwick airport for several reasons. The expansion may bring more jobs into the area, but this in itself will have a negative impact. More employees means More housing, this brings a negativity to nature and the countryside and general well being. More need for infrastructure we can’t get now, eg doctors, schools and our hospitals are running at over capacity. More cars for commuting to work - more environmental pollution with more cars and more traffic problems. Expansion will bring in more passengers and with it more traffic pollution, traffic congestion and overcrowding on our rail links. Expansion will bring in more air pollution with more aircraft taking off per hour. More noise pollution, we are already getting woken up at 5.30 am with low takeoff flights over our property. If Gatwick were viable for expansion why has Virgin pulled out of flights from Gatwick. All the above will have a negative impact on our daily lives In essence we do not need a bigger airport.
