I work within the NHS, overseeing net zero/green plan work for a large London hospital. The more I work on the associated projects the more I see the affects of air and noise pollution on people and the significant effects it has on health. The expansion of Gatwick will continue and increase the local and knock air and noise pollution to those local and across London. Therefore the wider impacts of the expansion need to also be considered. The WHO states that over 90% of the world'd population are living with air pollution above their recommended levels. We need to reduce our impacts on air and oppose the expansion of Gatwick. If the UK has any chance of reaching its net zero targets airport expansion needs to stop.
