I object to the expansion of Gatwick airport on environmental grounds . As a country we are supposed to be aiming for net zero carbon emissions. Adding an extra runway will put even more carbon in the atmosphere. Flying is one of the biggest polluters and is contributing to global warming. We need to encourage people to fly less . Not increase the availability of flights. Extra flights at Gatwick will also increase traffic on the M25 which is already at capacity.
