Hever Castle is a Grade 1 listed heritage attraction set within a Grade 1 listed park and garden which, in itself, is within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (a designation that is only awarded to the very best British landscape). The High Weald AONB recently published its Management Plan: Public Consultation - High Weald where they state – “One of the best surviving medieval landscapes in northwest Europe, the High Weald has remained a unique and recognisable area for at least the last 700 years”. As a member of Hever Castle Golf club where I spend a considerable amount to time engaged in a leisure activity, I do not wish this beautiful facility to be blighted by noise and air pollution, disruption on the local roads due to the expansion or the possibility of further bans on the use of water in the summer months.
