As a resident of Speldhurst for 25 years we have gone from quiet airspace to virtually every flight into Gatwick being routed on a single point approach over our village. Gatwick have obfuscated over planning and time lines of flight approach changes and the most recent planning for use of second runaway contains very spurious justifications. Reduced noise and reduced pollution- realistically how can this happen with double the number of flights? This year they have reduced the number of flights due to ATC shortages - how do they expect to safely handle double the number of flights. My objections therefore centre on increased noise (already unremitting in summer) increased pollution and is passenger demand into the future really there?
