The expansion of Gatwick Airport would totally go against the governments objectives to reduce carbon emissions to protect the planet we all live on. It would even more negatively impact the areas in its flight path which are both areas of outstanding national beauty, and important heritage sites such as Hever Castle. It is important that we are able to go to ANOBs to escape the stresses caused by noise and pollution from road and air traffic and if you allow this to go ahead it will damage yet more important countryside (of which there is little left) and completely goes against any environmental objectives that are so important for the survival of our planet. By allowing the second runway it would create irrevocable damage to Hever Castle and gardens which are so important to our heritage and it is necessary to protect both this and the wider countryside for future generations. Please don’t allow it to go ahead.
