Our residence lies between the Heathfield stack and LGW and in certain wind conditions we have a series of flights above us or close by, both day and night, which is a surprisingly frequent occurrence. I have registered some flights as low as 3,000ft and the noise can be conversation stopping if outside, or wake-up loud if at night. Significantly increasing the number of flights would greatly exacerbate the problem, particularly at night. We use the airport and understand the need to accommodate some flights with their associated noise and atmospheric pollution but the increase in flight numbers over the years since living in the area has meant the current flight numbers already exceed what is reasonable, particularly at night. To have flight numbers doubled or even increased by 50 percent with the new runway would be intolerable in living conditions and from sustainable environmental considerations. We do not want this increase.
