It is ridiculous to use the excuse that there is already a spare runway. The amount of work required to get this ready to use, along with all the services necessary, makes this an almost wholly irrelevant argument. There are already too many flights over too many hours and too much pollution in our area. Morally there should be no airport expansion in this country, but if there has to be some a different site should be found.
