My objection to the proposed new runway is that it will change the lifestyle of those of us who live near Gatwick & under the flight path as I do in Smallfield. Currently planes take off or land in an easterly direction over us every 3 to 4 minutes on average from 6am to midnight ( sometimes later) with a break as planes takeoff or land to the west, depending on the wind direction. Should the new runway be approved this will be virtually nonstop over this area, affecting a huge rural area, ruining the peace & quiet of those living in the countryside. It will also bring more traffic to this area & extra housing will be needed for the extra staff that will need to be employed at the airport. Please reconsider this proposal. THIS MUST BE STOPPED!
