Where l live, just outside Penshurst is directly under the Gatwick flight path. The noise of the airplanes, flying in late at night and very early in the morning is already unacceptable- the existing flight path should be widened to allow spread of the incoming planes. Should Gatwick Airport be allowed an additional flight path it would definitely result in a poorer quality of life for those residents living under the flight path due to the increased noise. It will violate the Human Rights Act in the area of quality of life, and will impact on the Mental Health of people, it will violate their right to quality of sleep and have a resultant negative impact on their general health. People’s health and quality of life must be viewed as more important than commercial interests.
