The expansion of Gatwick airport will have a negative environmental impact on the area, there will be increased noise pollution and to what end? Are we not meant to be reducing our carbon footprint, looking at clean energy and systems that do not damage our fragile ecosystems. I do not believe an increase in job prospects for the local community is a warrant to damage the environment. Who will profit? Is it not possible to improve what is there and make it more efficient?
