My primary objections to the proposal to repurpose the second runway at Gatwick Airport are as follows: 1. Aircraft noise over Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas has increased greatly over the past few years. The proposal will make the situation considerably worse. 2. The disruption caused by traffic in this area has also increased substantially. The proposal will, again, further exacerbate this issue. 3. The levels of pollution caused by both the increased volumes of aircraft, and increased traffic in the area, is unacceptable. The garden of England is being ruined.
