The use of a third runway is not needed nor is it appropriate. There are already too many planes going over us both night and day - when flights stopped for a while it was blissful. What they are proposing as anoise envelope is against Govt policy and CAA guidance. Other airports like Stansted have capacity. this will cause more pollution - not just aviation wise but flood risk and all the negative environmental actions from construction. The budget airlines that predominantly fly out of here use older really noisy planes and this would mean increased noise pollution. Transport problems would increase- with the pollution that comes with that as well as more traffic jams. Trains and buses to and from London would also be negatively impacted for local people. Gatwick airport has also not demonstrated the real need for this
