[Redacted] in Betchworth virtually non stop aircraft noise from Gatwick and Heathrow, made all the more intrusive by the odd periods of calm. Obviously we need airports and aircraft. But please spread the burden to other airports any don’t add to the existing noise problem which we have presumably to live with. Please also coordinate flights from Gatwick and Heathrow to allow Gatwick traffic to climb higher more quickly. In any case, do we really need more capacity at Gatwick? From my use of the airport the existing runway seems to cope pretty well. Do we really want to burden this otherwise peaceful part of Surrey with yet more noise, more road and rail traffic and more air pollution.? Surely Gatwick and Heathrow are making life difficult enough for local residents without adding quite unnecessarily to it.
