I oppose the application for a Second runway for the following reasons:- * The current number of planes flying at a low level over my home in Groombridge is already TOO many causing constant noise during the day and night to the point, that to be able to sleep in the summer months when hot, I have to have my windows closed. The low level they fly at all summer, makes it impossible to have any peaceful time in the Garden. This has increased significantly over the 30 years I have lived here, particularly at night when originally they stopped after midnight. * I am also very concerned around the extra pollution it will create, at a time when we need to look at reducing it. We cannot ignore the speed of Climate change, causing devastation across the world and must do something now to address this, not add to it. We have a responsibility to our Children and future generations to do the right thing. * The road system will also be effected by increased traffic and congestion causing further pollution and decline in air quality to many residential roads and housing. I know progress is required to address demand, but at what cost ???
